For Jose The Hospitality business has been a passion of his since his college days, with over 14 years of networking and restaurant experience, which formed a special platform to honor the time invested in him by his mentors, and upon to continue to invest in the future of the next generation of hospitality managers. For him , “Food is Love” it is “one of the most timeless ways to preserve and create memory and culture”, a philosophy that he looks forward to bringing to his new role as the General manager of the Barrel Room Wine & Bistro.
Chef de Cuisine
Brett has always been in the kitchen. Either watching over his father clean a Rainbow trout, or with his mother talking about new recipes. Starting in a small french kitchen in San Diego, Brett has honed his knowledge and skill over the last 13 years. Always preserving his love for simplicity, but pushing the boundaries of new and exciting styles of cuisine. The passion and love for food is an added ingredient in every dish.
Antonio has seen the industry from all points of view from the smallest kitchens in San Diego to working in some prestigious kitchens side by side with the guidance of some of South California best chefs. For him the industry has been both a school, a lifestyle, a home, and a motivation to teach others the language of love thru food. The verse “the best way to bring people together is thru food” has been his biggest motivation. With 8 years in the industry Chef Antonio has brought a little of all his teachers to the Barrel Room to now be the Teacher and bring love into our dishes.
Kalinn started at TBR in late 2016 as a host. Since then she has worked her way through every Front of the House position and now Manager! Kalinn’s favorite part about the food and beverage industry is the wide range of people she gets to encounter from guests to team members alike.
